Final Research Paper (Sociology 490S)

Your research project will be developed incrementally over the course of the semester. As you develop this project you will learn how to formulate a research question, how to identify or acquire data to test this question, and how to present research findings in an academic format, demonstrating support for a line of argument. You will submit and receive critical feedback on preliminary versions of your research question and hypotheses, literature review, analysis plan, and results. As we move forward, you will continue to revise each element of your research paper, ensuring that the final product will be sufficiently peer reviewed and, therefore, of the highest possible quality. Each student will ultimately produce a 15-20 page research paper, due during the final examination period, worth 20% of your final grade.
